Five years ago....

....and the rumblings of the earthquake are finally starting to settle for the new community of St Francis of Assisi. I am not one to dwell on the past, however it has been one emotional roller coaster to get to this point and I am forever grateful to my former colleagues for making, what could have been a harrowing and lonely journey, bearable and in many cases...fun.

So to being 2016, after years of uncertainty, was a refreshing prospect. With every piece of paper that Emily and I gleefully threw it into the skip, I began to see our learning space take shape and I also began to feel excited about the new school and next chapter in my professional career.

I am really happy with what we have achieved with our space. Emily and I have created a flexible learning environment that we hope will cater to the needs of our students. We have tried to maximise the space and create a number of different learning areas. The furniture is definitely not 'fixed' and we will happily relocate it to match the needs in our class.

So for now, all we need are the students to arrive.....
